Abusive Behaviour Policy
Last updated July 20, 2026
Portfo should feel safe to build in public. This policy covers how people treat each other here and what happens when someone crosses the line. It works alongside our Acceptable Use & Content Policy.
What counts as abuse
Don't use Portfo to:
- Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
- Post hate speech or attack people based on who they are.
- Send spam, mass unsolicited messages, or repeated unwanted contact.
- Impersonate another person, brand, or organization.
- Stalk someone or share their private information to target them.
- Encourage others to do any of the above, or coordinate to pile on a user.
Recruiter and hiring conduct
If you use Portfo to find and contact people about work, extra rules apply. Don't scrape profiles, export candidate data without consent, or send bulk or repeated outreach to people who haven't opted in to being discovered. Respect every visibility choice a user has made.
Reporting abuse
If someone is abusing you or another person on Portfo, email info@portfo.dev with what happened and any links or screenshots. We review reports and respond as quickly as we can. If you're in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
What we do about it
Depending on how serious it is, we may warn the person, remove content, limit their account, or ban them permanently. We act faster and harder on threats, targeted harassment, and anything that puts someone's safety at risk. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with authorities.
